Twins are basically of two types one is identical and other is fraternal. Identical twins means when one egg is fertilized with one sperm cell and then zygote is divided into two different embryos so the features for both babies are same when they born because their identity develops from same egg cell and sperm cell. Fraternal means two eggs are released and fertilize with two sperm cells and then make separate zygotes which nourishes thereafter. Some things must be known to everyone about twins for information which are as follows:
- Different biological Fathers: Twins may have different biological fathers because the time comes when two different eggs fertilize with two different male donors so that we can say twins may have different biological fathers as well as same with respect to their process of fertilizing with eggs of female.
- Separated twins may live similar lives: Twins may separate from one another in their lifetime but they lives a similar life because of some similarities in their genes so they can live with different ways but there are present some similarities in both like taking same profession, falling ill at same time and feeling hunger at same time etc. It may be coincidental but it must be happens with some of the twins.
- Twins can be different races: Twins can have different races and colors as well as different features and genetic potential because if the eggs are fertilize with different sperms then one baby have the genetic potential of mother and the other may have the potential of father so the features and races may be change in two different babies of same mother and father.
- Long Life of mother: To have twins it is considered for mother that she may have long life because by birth of twins the skeleton structure may developed well and the potential of mother can automatically raise for her children so we can say that the life of mother can naturally increases after giving birth to twins.
- Identical male twins with identical female twins: It is considered that if identical male twins got married with identical female twins then their children will be considered as cousin but if we considered them genetically then they are siblings because of their same genes and same origins of their mothers and fathers it is strange but research shows that it happens because of their same origin.
- Taller women: If we take into account the taller women and smaller women then it is considered that taller woman can have more chances of twins than smaller woman because her potential level as compare to smaller woman is more and perfect.
- Dairy Products: If a woman is use to of taking dairy products for example milk, butter, cream, meat and fish then there are more chances for her to give birth to twins because of her immune system perfectly working and also skeleton’s better growth so that’s why she considered better for giving birth to twins.
- Signs of showing bond in the womb: According to Italian study it is said that in 14 weeks the baby in the womb got sensations and in 18th week baby in the womb touch other twin more than themselves which shows how the bond is strong between them before birth.
- Conjoined twins: Some twins can share their thalamus because they have one thalamus they can feel themselves as by feelings, sight, hearing and other functions done by thalamus. Independency is the blessing but conjoined twins are dependent on each other so the doctors try to separate them through operations but there may have some complications which cannot be successful for them to be separated.
- Twins can be exact reflection: ¼ of the twins are facing each other faces in the womb of mother during stages of reproduction so they got identical features and the reflection of mirror because they are facing each other and adopting their features at reproduction level.
- Belly button for recognizing: Every child has a belly button but there are difference in the belly button of child who is single and the two twins have also different belly button shapes because of removing umbilical cord the shape of belly buttons of both kids is different and slightly unique.
- Adaptability of women to feed: A woman’s body is highly adaptable to feed at a time to two babies it is natural system of woman to have capacity of feeding babies more than one at a time.
- No identical finger prints: Twins with identical features don’t have same fingerprints because finger prints are caused by touching of different items so their finger prints grows with their growth.
